I am a part-time photographer and full time teacher. I have been teaching since 2008, most of my career spent teaching sixth grade Social Studies. Since then I have also worked as an Intervention Specialist and a high school Social Studies teacher. As far as photography is concerned, I started when Adley was born in 2013 when I took some pretty awful newborn pictures. In 2018 I decided to focus my energy on Senior Portrait Sessions - A much better fit for my skills: sarcasm, being loud, and making dumb jokes <-- All things newborns do NOT appreciate.

My wife Jess and I met in 2002 at a summer camp (yeah, it really is that cheesy) she was a life guard and I was a counselor. Thanks to the encouragement of a friend, we traded Instant Messenger screen names before we parted ways (If you're reading this and you don't know what AOL Instant Messenger is, congratulations on not being ancient!). Since those early days together we have grown to a family of 6. We have Austin (21), Adley (7), Atticus (6), and Lucy (3) as well as a crew of four-legged kids.

 

​When I am not busy chasing my kids, planning lessons, or taking/editing pictures, I fill my remaining time with baking. I have developed an unhealthy relationship with flour, eggs, vanilla, and chocolate chips. Our house perpetually smells like chocolate chip cookies.
